How To Prepare For The Blood Test
What's Included In The Fees
All blood tests require a face-to-face GP consultation and a blood draw fee prior. Blood draws are held at the Portsmouth clinic from 9am to 11:00am Monday to Thursday and by appointment only.
Preparation for Fasting Blood Test
Fast for 12- hours before your test
Do not eat or drink anything except plain water
Drink plenty of water (keep hydrated)
No tea, coffee, juice, alcohol, or chewing gum during the fasting period
Continue essential medications unless told otherwise by your doctor
Avoid strenuous exercise - do not engage in heavy physical activity the evening or morning before your test
Schedule your test early in the morning
