Fitness and employment-related medicals are becoming increasingly common and are not typically covered by the NHS. At Regency Medical, we provide fast, confidential assessments and medical certificates tailored to your specific needs.

Medical reports for study or exams – if illness has affected your academic performance

Fitness to fly certificates – if you’re too unwell to travel and require documentation for airlines or insurance claims

Study abroad – health checks and certificates required by international institutions

Some assessments may require:

Your previous medical records

Blood test results

A recent chest X-ray (for certain overseas medicals)

If you do not have these available, we can help arrange the necessary tests through our clinic.

Common Reasons for Private Medical

Employment medicals – when an employer requires health clearance or clarification of a condition

Fitness to participate – for activities such as running a marathon or joining a gym

TV/media appearances – health clearance for production involvement

What to bring to the appointment

What happens at the appointment

The medical consists of the doctor going through the medical form and your medical records.

The medical records can be obtained from your NHS GP surgery by asking for the GP Record summary. Alternatively they may provide you with their online access thus the records can be viewed.

Another option would be to use the NHS app if you have full access (preferred option)

Common Reasons for Private Medical

Fees

Medical assessment and completion of form, or produce a fitness to fly certificate, or educational illness report – £150.

CXR, blood tests, urine tests, and any other required tests are chargeable.

We would normally ask you to send the medical form that requires completing thus we can check for any additional documents or tests that need to be carried out before the medical is booked. Please email the form to admin@regencymedical.co.uk
